The Team
Our Strategy and Business Operations is a focused team that works on our most critical business challenges to drive and support our industry-leading growth. Your efforts will directly affect the overall strategy and success of a world-leading cybersecurity business. You will collaborate on complex business and technology problems that are top of mind for our executives. You possess a unique blend of business insight, business strategy experience, big-picture thinking, and influencing skills and the ability to collaborate with a large number of constituents within Palo Alto Networks.
Job Summary:
As Principal, Product Strategy and Operations, you will shape the future of our security business. You are a seasoned strategist with hands-on product strategy & operations experience and depth in Enterprise Tech. The scope of this role spans from strategy conception through execution, holding you accountable for shaping strategy and delivering operations for the product business. Balancing big-picture thinking and C-suite influencing skills with a 'roll up your sleeves' mindset is critical for success in this disruptive, high-visibility team.
- Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the development of long-term product strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Track competitive product strategies, market trends, and M&A opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
- Build and execute segment and market-specific plans to drive product growth and market penetration.
- Drive strategic, cross-functional projects based on C-suite priorities, providing systematic support and analysis such as competitive tear-downs.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to identify opportunities, address gaps, and influence the product roadmap.
- Act as the connective tissue between product and GTM teams, driving execution and optimization on core product operations.
- Establish and manage rhythms for capturing voice-of-the-customer and voice-of-sales feedback to surface insights that inform product development.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
-
15+ years of total experience in product development, business strategy, or a related field.

Significant experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm (e.g., BCG, Bain, Mc Kinsey) and/or a leading enterprise technology company.

Material Enterprise Tech experience with a deep understanding of Cybersecurity and/or SaaS business models.
-
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to process information quickly and deliver against tight deadlines.

Proven ability to engage with and influence C-level executives in corporate environments.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA from a top-tier business school.

Demonstrated experience developing and rolling out programs and driving cross-functional initiatives with product and engineering teams.

Experience building and nurturing high-performing teams.

An extreme accountability mindset, with a focus on outcomes and an ownership mentality.
Compensation Disclosure:
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
$218,600.00 - $299,925.00/yr
