We are looking for an IT Engineer, responsible for developing and building the infrastructure supporting IT equipment in our global offices and labs. This includes partnering with our facility and business stakeholder team members on construction projects, as well as engaging internally with facilities, network, and hardware engineers on their requirements. The engineer will design and deploy the low voltage construction and own the ongoing support of network rooms in regions.
What you’ll be doing:

Low-voltage design for NVIDIA office and lab builds
-
Partner with facility and end user stakeholders to scope project requirements. Provide ROMBOM and cost estimates. Technical stakeholder for low voltage bidding and contractor selection

Define locations for equipment within network rooms (security/BAS panels, rack positions for network gear, service provided wall fields).

Engage with network and Audiovisual engineers and collect their infrastructure requirements
-
Produce documents and specifications to instruct deployment with the low voltage contractors; Regularly walk construction projects and provide site reports with Nvidia feedback; Record close-out documentation at project completion and hand over to users

Regional PIC (Pilot In Command) for network room engineering
-
Track capacity of available ports, fiber plant, and PDU outlets within network rooms; Assist racking and cabling equipment; Configure and connect smart PDU/UPS, monitor power usage at rack and building level

Document the network rooms and their components within our asset management database system utilizing excel based mass importation, or through the user interface (Netbox/Nautobot); Audit IT environments to identify impact for power shutdown and asset accuracy

Low-voltage design standards and architecture
-
Develop and refine infrastructure standards; Create technology roadmap, propose collaboration workflow, introduce automation to enhance efficiency; Define success metrics to measure the deployment results
What we need to see:
-
BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
-
8+ years of working experience in related fields such as Telecommunications consulting, construction project management, low-voltage cabling installation

Understanding of network components and architectures
-
Ability to go onsite a few days a week. Physically install cables and inspect components in network rooms

Work with minimal direction and take initiatives
-
Ability to lead directions through challenging situations
-
Strong project management with excellent organizational skills
-
Availability to work across different time zones to support global regions
Ways to stand out from the crowd:

RCDD certification

Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit) experience. Bluebeam studio familiarity

Experience in mentoring members and guiding vendors

Analytical and DCIM/CMDB skills

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 230,000 USD for Level 4, and 184,000 USD - 264,500 USD for Level 5.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
