Our work at NVIDIA is dedicated towards a computing model focused on visual and AI computing. For two decades, NVIDIA has pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics, with our invention of the GPU. The GPU has also shown to be spectacularly effective at solving some of the most complex problems in computer science. Today, NVIDIA’s GPU simulates human intelligence, running deep learning algorithms and acting as the brain of computers, robots and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. We are looking to grow our company and teams with the smartest people in the world and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team!
Join our technology-focused team as an intern in Signal & Power Integrity Engineering. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, contributing to projects in graphics, autonomous vehicles, and artificial intelligence. You’ll work alongside skilled engineers, gaining exposure to real-world SI/PI challenges and solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with board/system SI design activities, including PCB stackup design, material selection, and layout review.
- Support system-level signal integrity simulation for interfaces such as PCIE, LPDDR/DDR/GDDR, MIPI, HDMI, and USB.
- Help analyze and optimize Power Delivery Networks (PDN) on PCBs.
- Research Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models, with a focus on applying these techniques to enhance Signal Integrity and Power Integrity methodologies.
- Observe and assist with TDR & VNA measurements for material characterization and model correlation.
What we need to see:
- Pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong foundational understanding of electromagnetics, channel components, and transmission line theory.
- Coursework in AI/ML.
- Exposure to PCB design tools like Cadence Allegro or similar tools.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Prior internship or research in Electromagnetics/SI/P.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as HFSS, Sigrity, or Hspice is a plus.

Are you passionate about joining our life work to amplify human imagination and intelligence? If you are creative, collaborative, and have a real passion for design methodology and automation, we want to hear from you!
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 20 USD - 71 USD.
You will also be eligible for Intern benefits.
