We are seeking a dynamic Director of Storage Sourcing (NAND/SSD/Embedded) that will lead procurement initiatives, design analytical tools for rapid, intelligent decision-making, and generate comprehensive market intelligence reports. This job merges strategy, market study, and expenditure review. We are looking for an upbeat leader who can develop long-term sourcing plans that align with market trends. This leader simplifies complex data into actionable insights. They also collaborate with executives on supplier decisions, commercial agreements, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate for the Director of Storage Sourcing role will be an ambitious leader skilled in designing, communicating, and rolling out detailed commodity strategies. You are a recognized leader with executive relationships throughout the industry. You have experience leading all aspects of sourcing for major enterprise areas. As an international commodity management specialist, you possess strong analytical capabilities to inform decisions. You are highly engaged and demonstrate sharp business understanding coupled with technical knowledge in the Memory/Storage sector. You will have successfully revamped commodity management teams, managed supplier collaborations, and contributed significant value to operations and engineering units.
What you’ll be doing:

Develop and complete strategic sourcing plans for NAND, SSD, and embedded storage components, aligned with product roadmaps and business requirements.

Lead RFIs, supplier evaluations, and sourcing engagements for custom and high-complexity storage solutions.

Serve as the technical interface between procurement and engineering, translating storage technology requirements into sourcing strategies.

Analyze spend, cost structures, and market dynamics to identify optimization and cost-reduction opportunities in storage procurement.

Assess supplier capabilities, cost models, and competitive positioning to inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
-
Drive supplier alignment on manufacturing processes, technology roadmaps, and capacity planning to support long-term business needs.

Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply for critical storage components.

Lead complex commercial negotiations, including contracts, development agreements, and long-term supply arrangements, in partnership with legal and technical teams.

Build and manage strategic relationships with key storage suppliers and manufacturers, encouraging collaboration and innovation.

Monitor NAND and storage market trends, forecast supply-demand dynamics, and maintain deep expertise in storage technologies and manufacturing processes.
What we need to see:

15 overall years of strategic sourcing in the high-tech industry
-
Extensive global sourcing leadership experience engaging global memory and storage suppliers
-
BS degree (Masters preferred), or equivalent experience
-
A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience

Outstanding negotiation skills in executive supplier management

Excellent communications and influencing skills working with engineering, finance, business units, and other supply chain functions

High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 240,000 USD - 379,500 USD.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
