We are looking for passionate and talented individuals to help drive our mission forward by developing bio foundation models that can redefine the understanding of biological systems.
As an Applied Deep Learning Scientist Intern focused on Bio Foundation Models, you will join a pioneering research and development team, collaborating with industry and academic partners. This role offers the unique opportunity to research, develop, and implement AI algorithms that span across genomics, protein structure, and human genetics, while also contributing to productizing this innovative work.
What you will be doing:

Prototype and build deep learning models for genomics, human genetics, and epigenomic data and design.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in AI infrastructure and biological research.

Develop bio foundation models with applications in drug discovery, personalized medicine, and functional genomics.
What we need to see:
-
Pursuing a MS or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computational Biology, Genomics, AI, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
-
Expertise in deep learning, machine learning, and bioinformatics tools.

Experience with Python and relevant libraries (Num Py, Pandas, Matplotlib) for data analysis, and deep learning frameworks like Py Torch or Tensor Flow.

Knowledge in genomics, human genetics, and/or processing of biological data.

Strong communication skills, highly organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
-
Experience in the development of bio foundation models or open-source contributions in the bioinformatics field.

Familiarity with diffusion models, transformer-based models, and advanced AI algorithms.

Experience in developing models for the analysis of genetic data or functional genomics.

A relevant publication history or conference presentations in the field of bioinformatics or computational biology.

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 20 USD - 71 USD.
You will also be eligible for Intern benefits.
