Role Purpose:
Drive Converse Apparel growth in GC by integrating consumer insights, channel needs, and brand direction into a differentiated assortment strategy. Lead end-to-end product creation, merchandising, and marketplace planning. Working closely with licensing partners, planning, brand, and cross-functional teams to deliver consumer-right product assortments that meet business and brand objectives.
Job Responsibility:
- Lead seasonal line planning, product briefs, and assortment strategy in partnership with licensing partners.
- Build line architecture including pricing strategy, product attributes, distribution strategy, and margin considerations.
- Identify consumer trends and translate insights into product opportunities aligned with Converse brand positioning.
- Ensure product assortments support financial targets through collaboration with Planning and Analytics.
- Monitor in-season performance by channel, identify opportunities, and take action to optimize sell-through and market share.
- Quickly respond to ad-hoc channel needs while staying true to brand and product strategy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 8+ years of merchandising experience in apparel and/or accessories, with exposure to both product creation and channel merchandising.
- Proven track record in end-to-end merchandising: product line planning, brand alignment, and marketplace execution.
- Strong fashion and trend sense, ability to translate consumer insights into commercial opportunities.
- Analytical and business acumen with ability to read in-season performance and take quick action.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with ability to influence across teams.
- Experience working with licensing or partner models is a plus.
