Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer located in Aguascalientes Campus.

Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support and maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties in the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies and techniques
  • Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
  • Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root-causes of equipment failures and develop hands-on maintenance skills.
  • Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products and may develop corrective and preventive action plans
  • May be involved in development and and update of PFMEA for new products
  • May participate in control plan development
  • Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g. specifications, procedures)
  • Examines and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Coordinates with customers to identify product specifications and design changes and responds to customer request.
  • Provides information for management recommendations from a technical and technical cost perspective.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Sr experience in as a industrial engineer or similar position.
  • Intermediate English (spoken and written).
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis expertise.
  • A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tolos.
  • Experience with NPI (New Product Introduction): launches, validations, and product transfers.
  • Knowledge of process engineering: defining, documenting, and improving production processes.
