Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a HVAC Facilities Engineer located in Guadalajara, North.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the HVAC Facilties Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, diagnosis and optimization of industrial refrigeration systems, with an emphasis on air-cooled, water-cooled chillers and absorption chillers. This role shall ensure operational continuity, energy efficiency and reliability of chilled water plants and associated systems.

What a typical day looks like:

• Execute, supervise and ensure compliance with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC equipment, such as chillers, pumps, handlers, condensers, package units.
• Perform complex fault diagnostics: undercooling, overheating, vacuum losses, electrical faults, cavitation, and hydraulic problems.
• Monitor critical operating parameters, such as temperatures, pressures, and energy consumption.
• Verify the status and operation of cooling towers, condensers, pumps, heat exchangers, valves, and controls.
• Implement adjustments in control logic, chiller sequencing and operation of hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate activities with technicians, contractors and specialized suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards and industrial safety practices.
• Participate in internal and external maintenance audits.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS Mechanical Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer or equivalent work experience
• Expertise in industrial HVAC systems.
• Verifiable experience in chillers.
• Experience with BMS (Building management system).
• Thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Nice to have experience in Chilled water plants, cooling towers, hydraulic pumps, and control systems.
• Nice to have handling measuring instruments: pressure gauges, vacuum pumps, energy analyzers, flow meters.
