What to Expect:

Nestlé Canada is looking for an Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications to join our Corporate Affairs team. This role supports both internal and external communications and plays a critical part in advancing and protecting Nestlé Canada’s reputation among employees, media, partners, and the public.

You will help shape the stories we tell, the channels we use, and the engagement experiences that connect our employees to Nestlé’s purpose, values, and business priorities—all while helping maintain a strong, proactive digital and social presence for the company.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications:

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Implement internal communication strategies that inform, motivate, and engage employees around company priorities and cultural initiatives.
  • Lead and support major employee engagement moments including In Days, Employee BBQs, Town Halls, and cultural events.
  • Build excitement for new product launches by partnering with brand teams to strengthen internal brand advocacy.
  • Lead cross functional coordination with HR, IT, and others to keep employees updated on business programs and initiatives.
  • Oversee award submission processes and manage the Changemaker of the Month recognition program.
  • Support planning and execution of national charitable partnerships and community initiatives.

Internal Communications Channels

  • Manage and continuously improve key internal channels, including VIVA Engage, the NEST intranet, and DIVE screens.
  • Ensure content is timely, consistent, and aligned with corporate tone, strategy, and best practices.

Corporate Social & Digital Media

  • Lead the day to day management of Nestlé Canada’s corporate digital platforms, including the corporate website, METAs, and LinkedIn.
  • Maintain and execute a proactive editorial calendar showcasing corporate storytelling and brand aligned content.
  • Ensure the corporate website remains current, functional, and optimized.
  • Use analytics to monitor performance, identify insights, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance content creation and platform performance.

Media Relations & Issue Support

  • Manage day to day trade media inquiries and distribute approved key messages.
  • Maintain relationship with the media monitoring provider and support Crisis Team monitoring needs.

Team Support

  • Provide backup support to internal and external communications managers to ensure operational continuity.

Role Requirements

  • Certificate or university degree in Communications or Public Relations.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing internal and external corporate communications in a fast‑paced business environment.
  • Strong experience in internal communications and corporate digital/social media platforms.
  • Experience navigating complex issues and working collaboratively with cross‑functional partners.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with digital publishing platforms (Share Point, Poppulo), Canva, analytics tools, video production tools, and some familiarity with Drupal.
  • Experience using AI tools to support communications workflows

  • Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, adapt quickly, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Highly proactive, service‑oriented, and detail‑focused—capable of managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines with confidence.
  • Able to influence, collaborate, and support stakeholders at all organizational levels
