We're seeking someone to join our team as a Team Supervisor in Client Onboarding and Regulatory Data Services (CORDS) to manage New Client KYC team responsible for the daily RTB for KYC and Market Regulation support for new client, and supervision on each function team is responsible of including people management.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships.

This is a Team Supervisor position at Director level within the CORDS Team.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Serve as the primary supervisor within specific line or project area with accountability to associated risks
  • Manage direct reports, leading 1:1s and career development, attracting and retaining high quality talent in line with our leadership commitments
  • Review resources to ensure adequate coverage to deliver BAU commitments, highlighting current and future needs to manager
  • Share regulatory expert knowledge including KYC and Market Regulations across the team, contributing to team output and ensuring diverse viewpoints are heard
  • Build partnership and stakeholder relationship with BU, BU Risk, GFC, and other Operations silo to effectively provide front to back onboarding support
  • Foster the Firm culture leading by example

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, adapt management style to suit individuals and ensure team is well supported with a sense of purpose
  • Prepared to challenge the status quo, raise concerns and/or needs of their team members
  • Ability to pitch communication appropriately according to the audience and demonstrate active listening skills
  • Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model
  • Understanding of actual and residual risk from RTB regulatory support processes
  • Operations and KYC/Onboarding relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:

  • Proactive, analytical and problem-solving skills. Problem structuring, analyses, and recommending solutions
  • Judgment in when to escalate issues and taking charge as needed to prevent/minimize the impact
  • Multi-task and task prioritization
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a multicultural team
  • JSDA Level 1/2
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Applications (especially in PowerPoint, Excel)

Skills Desired

  • Project management and process enhancement/improvement experiences.
  • Relevant professional experiences, such as client onboarding, client services and securities operations functions
  • Familiarity with Japan and Global regulations (e.g. CIP, FIEL, MIFID, FATCA, etc.)
  • JSDA Internal Control Manager.
