We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Analyst to Market Risk team.

Firm Risk Management

In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyze and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data quality checks across trades, risk measures and Market data.
  • Independently investigate data quality issues to determine root cause analysis and provide effective resolution and appropriate escalation in timely manner.
  • Observe and analyze data issue patterns to identify recurring problems and proactively collaborate with data providers for timely resolution.
  • Ensure accurate & timely production of market risk metrics daily.
  • Analyze the impact of market data changes on risk measures such as value at risk, assess each market move proactively and make recommendations on accuracy of moves.
  • Identify potential inconsistences or movements in market risk metrics.
  • Collaborate with Risk managers to understand their data requirements and contribute to improving data related controls and processes.
  • Collaborate with technology in implementing Data related strategic programs.
  • Contribute to automations of manual processes, where possible

What you’ll bring to the role:

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of Market Risk middle office experience.
  • Good Understanding of risk management concepts and financial products across asset classes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details.
  • Advanced Excel, VBA programming & SQL. Knowledge of Python will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and take ownership to meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree, Engineering or Finance is a plus
