We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Analyst in Ops Risk and Regulatory Control to centrally coordinate, manage and control the process across vendor and other geographical locations to ensure regulatory reporting exceptions are managed effectively daily.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Analyst level position within the Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Process transactions/tasks within coverage area.
  • Respond to client requests with accuracy and speed, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Follow escalation framework, taking responsibility for identifying, escalating and preventing issues.
  • Raise issues, question others and offer solutions/ideas.
  • There is also a requirement to centrally coordinate, manage and control this process across vendor and other geographical locations to ensure regulatory reporting exceptions are managed effectively daily.
  • Given the ever-changing regulatory landscape; technology priorities are aligned to areas of maximum exposure and Operations are receiving the necessary rule guidance and interpretation from Compliance to support new and existing requirements effectively.
  • Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of trade and transactions; highlighting analyzing and remediating regulatory reporting issues.
  • Be responsible for coordinating across multiple stakeholders such as Technology, Client Relationship Managers, Trade Support Groups (TSG) and Compliance, to undertake the appropriate remediation steps to resolve reporting issues.
  • Analyses and exposes ambiguous or complex issues, identifies root causes, and proposes future actions.
  • Ensure timely escalation of any issues to Operations Management, Compliance and IT where appropriate.
  • Take ownership for and follow through to conclusion on any issues or questions submitted by Operations teams seeking guidance from Compliance where required.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Ability to build trust and find innovative ways to improve teamwork, functions/processes and create a positive work environment.
  • Understanding of business area supported, client requirements, and importance of not compromising control to comply with client requests.
  • Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values.
  • Knowledge of Derivative Products preferable. Including Listed Derivatives, FX, Commodities, Equity, Credit and Interest Rates.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting (MiFID, EMIR, SFTR mandates)
  • Strong functional knowledge of Operations and trade lifecycle.
  • Strong communication & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong experience of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • At least 0-2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
