Department Profile
The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate, Currency, Credit and Commodities Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading.
From the largest global institutions to innovative new hedge funds, investors come to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services in almost every type of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities. Our professionals provide liquidity and content to clients around the world, actively assessing and managing risk, trading securities, and planning and executing transactions in the fast-changing markets. As the needs of our clients become increasingly complex, we often develop customized solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
FX Sales Management is looking for an Associate level candidate to join its FX Sales team. This dynamic function is responsible for driving and refining an evolving product offering. Clients across Hedge Funds, Asset Managers and Corporations will be engaged around the topic of complex portfolio analytics and strategic FX trading. The candidate would work with stakeholders across divisions and regions, and have direct daily engagement with FX Sales Management. There is strong opportunity for growth and leadership in this role, and requires sales acumen, autonomy, and drive.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pitch FX Platforms and Hedging tools to various client base
- OMS / Vendor relationship management
- Lead data integrations between OMS, Custodians and Client for portfolio consumption
- Liaise with clients to test completeness of data set
- Cross Training with Morgan Stanley Fund Services
- Systematic capture of client and vendor feedback, client execution profiles, and cataloging enhancements
- Coordinating strategic projects to advance the FX business
- Engage in generating new revenue opportunity and ideas and then implement each to fruition
Additional Responsibilities
- Working with Management, Sales, Fund Admin and Developers to drive revenue and service clients
- Monitoring systems, trading flows, and booking model
- Identifying, designing and implement new logic to streamlining recurring business problems
- Coordinating new project campaigns
Qualifications
- Good understanding of various FX Products and Hedging
- Client facing experience with strong sense of prioritisation
- Comfort with general data integrations and experience in working with various OMS vendors and data providers
- Strong quantitative, technical skill and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to efficiently multitask
- Highly team oriented, commercially driven and overall eagerness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency, and to turn in quality work quickly under strict time constraints
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to build and maintain internal and external relationships
