About the Role
We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in the EMEA KYC Services team within CORDS to deliver a high quality, client centred KYC Refresh experience-partnering closely with clients, Business Units, Operations, and Financial Crime teams to ensure timely, accurate, and well governed reviews that support strong client relationships and meet regulatory obligations.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within the Glasgow location.
Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.
What You'll Do in the Role
- Support clients through periodic KYC reviews, ensuring a seamless and professional experience while meeting regulatory requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on AML/KYC, providing guidance to internal teams, business units, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and prioritise case activity, using MI to ensure production teams are meeting SLAs and proactively managing throughput and risk.
- Advocate for the client, balancing their needs with the firm's regulatory obligations and ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Identify and resolve thematic issues, sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices across the wider team and regional business units.
- Collaborate closely with CORDS partners-including Policy Advisory, Technology, and other operational groups-to drive policy adherence and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong governance and control, ensuring accurate, confidential handling of client information and adherence to MS best practices and quality standards.
- Drive proactive client and BU engagement, ensuring all required information is obtained in time to meet regulatory deadlines.
- Contribute to transformation initiatives, working with BCU, Financial Crime Risk (FCR), KYC Management, Program Management, and other stakeholders to streamline workflows and resolve complex cases.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Strong client service experience, with the ability to manage expectations, build trust, and communicate clearly with clients and internal partners.
- Background in KYC or related financial crime disciplines, with proven understanding of AML, onboarding, or client reference data.
- Demonstrated ability to drive productivity and manage operational workloads, ensuring deadlines, SLAs, and quality standards are consistently met.
- A university degree or equivalent professional experience, ideally with a business or finance focus.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and maintaining strong relationships across business units.
- Strong communication and motivational skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and support large teams and stakeholders.
