We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Director) QA Automation Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts and drive test automation initiatives across multiple projects and programs within the department.
Enterprise_Technology
Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.
Human Resources, Digital Marketing & Corporate Communication Technology
Supports clients in attracting, developing and engaging employees through Technology innovation. Implements Technology to help reinforce the Firm’s brand through driving new business and fostering business collaboration. Leverages Technology to help connect employees to the Firm and our culture, as well as to highlight the Firm’s people and accomplishments.
QA Engineering
This is Director position that devises test strategies, conducts and/or coordinates tests, and identifies defects to maintain high standards of performance and reliability.

What you’ll do in the role:
> Play a key role in the QA team by driving testing efforts to ensure successful project deliveries and releases, while establishing and adhering to best-in-class QA processes and tools.
> Own the full Software Testing Lifecycles, including Functional, Regression, and Performance testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage and quality assurance.
> Design and implement QA strategies with a strong focus on test automation, leveraging modern tools and practices to enhance product quality and accelerate release cycles.
> Collaborate closely with development teams to embed quality practices within sprints and influence robust quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
> Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices to enable agile, integrated QA processes as part of the overall development workflow.
What you’ll bring to the role:
> At least 6 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
> Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of Test Automation Frameworks and components, with a preference for BDD-based automation frameworks.
> Demonstrate strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, test reporting, multithreading, and data structure algorithms.
> Execute comprehensive testing processes, including requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, environment setup, test execution, defect reporting, retesting, regression testing, and test cycle closure.
> Use version control systems such as Git to manage code and collaborate effectively across teams.
> Develop and maintain UI automation scripts using Selenium for efficient and reliable testing.
> Utilize tools and frameworks for backend/API automation, setting up an effective test automation stack using industry-leading technologies.
> Perform performance testing using appropriate tools and practices to validate system scalability and reliability.
> Adopt DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, to integrate automated testing into the delivery workflow.
> Work with web technologies and CMS platforms, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Launch, and other Adobe products, while leveraging user analytics.
> Apply knowledge of accessibility testing using both automated and manual tools to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
> Ensure functional and performance validation of all release deliverables, including new components, enhancements, and bug fixes.
> Demonstrate reliability as an individual contributor and as part of a distributed team, fostering collaboration across multiple locations.
> Show adaptability, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
