Overview:
The Microsoft Global Partner team works with stakeholders across the company (Global Partner, Solution Areas, Marketing, Business Planning) to help scale our commercial products and capture total addressable market (TAM) across segments.
The Senior Finance Manager, Partner Planning and Strategy, will work closely with the Global Partner teams to build the fiscal year budgets and analysis to influence strategic direction and business decision making to accelerate revenue growth across the MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions) priorities. You will operate in a results-driven, dynamic environment of a business area with continued high-growth opportunities.

- Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end partner target setting and in-year management process, including setting targets, aligning to the Managed Partner List, overseeing the target restatement process, etc.
- Work alongside the Global Partner Business team to align on partner influenced revenue and non-revenue targets and metrics as part of the annual planning cycle.
- Work with Core Revenue Planning to ensure partner targets are aligned to broader commercial targets, accounting for nuances such as partner association and partner influence.
- Work with both segment finance counterparts who support the various partner segments throughout target setting to ensure targets accurately reflect ambitions across both partner and customer segments.
- Work with the global incentive compensation team to support the design of compensable metrics, ensuring metrics are reliably measurable.
- Partner with FD&E (Finance Data & Experiences) to continue to build out the Partner Planning system.
- Lead engagement with the field partner finance community throughout the target setting and restatement process, ensuring that they are aware of strategy, timelines and systems and tools functionality.

Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
- Driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to partner, build trust, and communicate with and influence leaders and business partners.
- Team player with an ability to manage across organizational boundaries, influence others and build on the work of others.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
