The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. The Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization within CSCP lies at the heart of the effort to build the next generation Cloud. Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Innovation Product group in CSCP focuses on building a product to address complex Supply Chain challenges with suppliers and implement solutions for other complicated processes. We are seeking a Sr Software Engineer to contribute to the product innovation efforts within Cloud Supply Chain.  Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Responsibilities

• Design & develop front-end applications, frameworks including middleware APIs and GenAI Assistants/ Agents. 

Component design, coding and unit testing. 

• Work closely with the Product PM’s, Product architect and other engineers to disambiguate requirements, provide detailed architectural design and drive to deliver.

• Identifying dependencies and technical challenges and finding solutions to overcome through attention to detail and clear communication both verbal and written.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and function in a constantly evolving startup environment

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:
• 9+ years of software design and development experience with frontend, middle tier and backend services. 

• 8+ years hands on experience in any Object-Oriented coding language such as C++, C#, Java or Python or equivalent experience with C. Cloud and services experience; Azure cloud experience.

• Strong design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

• Familiarity with basic GenAI and Agentic AI concepts/ practical implementations.

• Ability to communicate technical details clearly.

• Growth Mindset with a desire to learn, a tendency to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setback, see failures as essential to mastery, learn from       criticism and find lessons and inspiration in the success of others.
