Overview

Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud.  Within CO&I, the Datacenter Engineering (DCE) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. This role reports into the APAC Region supporting the APAC regional delivery. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services.

Responsibilities

The position is for an individual contributor passionate about process, quality, with demonstrated experience in document management, maintaining portfolio register, and support to technical delivery teams as a project/portfolio coordinator. The successful candidate will be working primarily with the regional Datacenter Engineering (DCE) team alongside internal partner teams’ portfolio coordinators providing ongoing updates to internal records/statistics whilst supporting documentation associated with internal reporting. The successful candidate will also work with global safety & quality team to be familiar with global processes & functional requirements, and work with Regional DCE team to ensure process is followed, documentation is kept for record purposes, and is fully accountable for the regional performance dashboard for all records, checklists, approval forms, regional baseline documentations, and similar.

CORE RESPONSIBILIITES

  • Work with the Regional DCE team to maintain the internal quality & process registers

  • Work with the Global DCE Quality Management Systems & Process Team and represent regional delivery on records & dashboards and ensure documentation are in place to support progressive audits

  • Work with the partner portfolio managers & coordinators and maintain record on objective and key results (OKR) statistics & lessons learnt register

  • Support regional reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, and/or construction program management, OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience engineering, and/or construction information management, OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team programs.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing engineering portfolio information and documentation.
