As a Data Governance Analyst in Micron’s Enterprise Master Data (EMD) team, you’ll define and oversee the policies that govern our master data. You will support the design and delivery of solutions that improve Micron's overall data quality. We are looking for problem-solvers that bring innovative ideas that accelerate value delivery and relentlessly focus on the policies and processes that drive improvements to our master data quality.
The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties to ensure our governance processes are fast and simple and drive consistency and quality of master data.
Responsibilities:

Lead master data governance councils
-
Uphold data governance policies
-
Drive consensus on Master Data related issues
-
Lead cross-functional teams in process development, deployment, and training to support continuous improvement opportunities

Partner with business teams in the development of standards, business rules and guidelines for outlining data quality expectations

Build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal organizations (business owners, practices, departments) to understand current and future data needs and strategy for data in assigned functional area required to meet business objectives

Prepare and present conclusions and recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities to process stakeholders and leadership

Be a subject matter expert in the data assignment and in the systems used to manage the data in assigned functional areas

Maintain Enterprise Master Data process and procedure documentation to drive clear understanding of master data management processes and concepts

Analyze data, information and business requirements to understand the effects of poor data quality
-
Identify process weaknesses and gaps and drive process improvement
-
Monitor audits and issue identification to ensure data integrity and to support data cleanup approach to improve data quality

Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office products to support day-to-day job functions
-
Proficient in the use of standard systems and tools to manipulate and manage data. Skilled abilities in SAP, SQL, Informatica and Teamcenter may be required based on role
Minimum Qualifications
-
B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
-
5-10 years of experience in a combination of data management and data governance with at least 3 years in a leadership role
-
2+ years as a direct manager
-
Working knowledge in enterprise applications/architecture such as MAM, MES, SAP, Teamcenter
-
Success as a change agent with demonstrated improvement in data quality
Preferred Qualifications

Self-motivated and service oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong persuasive and diplomatic communication skills

Proven ability to drive the development, documentation and implementation of business processes

Ability to identify, understand and communicate the interdependencies and impact across the organization
