Job Summary/ Responsibilities

As the STAFF PROJECT SPECIALIST at Micron, you will drive key initiatives, including Government Grant Projects, Investment Subsidies and long-term project development. This role requires expertise in cross-functional coordination, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, and risk management to ensure project delivery aligns with corporate growth objectives.

Government Grant Project Execution:

  • Cross-Function Collaboration: Partner with Micron leadership, Operations, HR, and Finance to implement grant projects, focusing on Investment Criteria, Expense Execution, Academic Partnership, Headcount Management, and administrative initiatives.
  • Compliance & Performance Monitoring: Drive accountability and ensure strict adherence to grant commitments; proactively monitor progress and collaborate with team members to supervise performance metrics regularly.
  • Audit Coordination and Documentation: Work closely with internal partners to ensure detailed preparation for audits. Develop comprehensive materials for regular government audits.
  • Risk Mitigation & Change Management: Identify areas of improvement and opportunities. Assess potential risks related to Investment Standards, Expense, and Headcount. Collaborate with internal teams to propose necessary changes to the government.

Investment Subsidies & Long-term Planning:

  • Tax & Financial Incentives: Identify and bring to bear local government investment promotion policies and tax incentive programs.
  • Land Lease Incentives and Utility Assistance: Negotiate reduced rental rates for public land or land-use rights and expedite access to water and electricity with cost-efficient benefits.
  • Financing Support: Secure low-interest financing or interest subsidies to optimize project funding.
  • Tax Advisory Services: Coordinate specialized tax consultations to improve available incentive benefits.
  • R&D & Transformation Grants: Acquire subsidies for technology development and industrial upgrades.
  • Local Subsidies: Handle housing tax, land tax, and rental support programs.
  • Budgetary Excellence: Define and manage detailed expansion project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure execution successfully.

Qualifications & Skills

Successful candidates for this position will have the following:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Planning, Industrial Engineering, or related areas within the manufacturing sector (electronics manufacturing, semiconductors, or other advanced technology industries preferred).
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both Cantonese and English.
  • Strong analytical skills, outstanding execution ability, and high attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Growth mindset and a strong dedication to identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's and/or master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related sector.
