As the Senior Director Finance, Global Front End Controller at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the financial planning and controlling of Micron’s global network of front end wafer fabrication facilities across Asia and the United States. You will partner closely with** the Senior Vice President of Global Front End Operations** to drive operation efficiency, cost competitiveness and capital returns. You will report to the Vice President, Global Operations Controller, and collaborate closely with global Finance teams (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, etc.) and cross-functional partners (Supply Chain, Procurement, IT, Smart Manufacturing, etc.)
Key responsibilities:
- Establish financial metrics, targets and accountabilities for Front End Operation organization that are aligned with overall Micron strategy and objectives
- Partner closely with the Front End Leadership Team (FLT) to identify, assess and drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, cost performance and capital return
- Influence decision-making process within FLT to emphasize shareholder value creation, financial discipline and informed risk-taking
- Lead front end finance team to provide accurate data, in-depth analysis, actionable insights and recommendations
- Develop and implement financial processes and systems to continuously improve productivity of the front end finance team
- Provide independent financial oversight to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and Micron policies
- Build and lead a high-performing finance organization, including talent development, succession planning, and team resilience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA preferred
- Additional professional qualifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) preferred
- At least 15 years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Controlling or related fields in the manufacturing industry (electronics manufacturing, semiconductors or other high-tech industries preferred)
- At least 10 years of leadership experience, ideally in globally dispersed teams
- Preferred location Singapore or Taiwan will be considered
Preferred Skills:
- Deep understanding of economics driver and constraints of Front End operation
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.
- Strong leadership and visionary skills, with the ability to motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles and practices, such as GAAP, IFRS, SOX, etc.
- Proven ability to lead in a VUCA environment (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
- Demonstrated success in cost reduction, capital efficiency, and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
