The Principal Specialist, Physical Security is responsible for providing senior‑level leadership and accountability for physical security operations at the Tung Luo site in Miaoli.

This role serves as the primary authority for site physical security strategy, operational execution, and risk management, ensuring alignment with enterprise physical security standards and business objectives.

Operating at the Principal level, this position exercises independent judgment, leads site security personnel and service providers, and partners closely with site leadership, regional security, and enterprise stakeholders to protect people, intellectual property, assets, facilities, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for all physical security matters at the assigned site.
  • Lead and manage site physical security teams, including direct staff and outsourced guard force providers.
  • Translate enterprise physical security policies and standards into effective site‑level implementation and execution.
  • Lead all aspects of daily security operations, including staffing models, post orders, patrols, incident response, and investigations.
  • Conduct site physical security risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies aligned with enterprise risk tolerance.
  • Ensure compliance with physical security policies, regulatory requirements, audits, and inspections.
  • Provide oversight of site security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and monitoring.
  • Support capital projects, site expansions, and construction activities to ensure security requirements are embedded from design through operation.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for security incidents, coordinating investigations and corrective actions.
  • Partner with site leadership, Facilities, Manufacturing, HR, IT, Legal, and external agencies as the need arises.
  • Prepare and deliver site security metrics, risk summaries, and reports to regional and enterprise leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in physical or corporate security operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading site‑level security programs in large, complex, or regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and vendors while exercising independent judgment in high‑risk situations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Language skills: Mandarin, Traditional Chinese, English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional security certifications (CPP, PSP, or equivalent).

  • Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, cleanroom, or critical infrastructure environments.

  • Experience supporting site expansions, major construction projects, or operational scale‑up.

  • Familiarity with enterprise physical security governance and risk‑based security frameworks

  • Military, law enforcement, or intelligence community experience.

  • Familiarity with security and risk frameworks (NIST, ISO 31000, ISO 27001).
