As Business Planning & Operations Lead in Reality Labs, you will bridge the technical and business worlds as you partner closely with cross-functional teams across Meta to bring the Metaverse Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Products to consumers around the world. You will provide cross-functional leadership to chart strategic direction in sync with overall company roadmaps, while delivering flexible sales-focused capabilities that meet near to long-term business needs. Your goal is that the business is well-positioned to move fast in adapting for scale and complexity.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Metaverse and Wearables vision, have an analytical and consultative mindset, experience in working with stakeholders from business and technical backgrounds, and can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering against tight deadlines, and a passion for scaling operations.
The mission of our Global Business Planning & Operations organization is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization through planning, operations, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration. We identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support growth while supporting the operational cadence to surface business insights. The Business Planning & Operations Lead, Reality Labs Global Sales Channel Experiences will partner with the Global Channel Experiences Leaders and other cross-functional leaders. The role will entail business planning and insights, operating cadence (rhythm of the business), enablement and strategic projects to drive scalable operational effectiveness. The role will be part of the RL Global Sales Planning & Operations team, with a particular focus on rhythm of business and operational efficiency.
Business Planning & Operations Lead, Reality Labs Global Sales
Channel Experiences Responsibilities:
- Drive streamlined and efficient processes (e.g., reporting, prioritization) to further streamline rhythm of the business and budget optimization
- Manage business initiatives whilst working with the Sales and cross-functional teams, driving alignment and scale efficiently and effectively across all Sales Channels
- Improve operational efficiency through identification and execution of key KPIs and initiatives that creates efficiency, removes obstacles, or creates improved processes and approaches to the business. This includes identifying ways in which tools can be built and deployed to improve workflows
- Support Global Channel Experiences on medium/long-term business planning including analytics of business potential
- Business partnership with key leaders
- Build cross-functional relationships and establish resources to help solve complex interdisciplinary problems on behalf of the business
Minimum Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in Management Strategy Consulting, corporate strategy/Sales Planning & Operations or in a relevant field
- Experience in the field of Retail Presentation, In-Store Experiences, Demonstrations, Associate Education and related functions
- Experience solving complex business problems (retail, telco, operational, organizational), and to drive projects from strategy to execution
- Leadership and influencing skills, can lead/influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Experience working cross-functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful plans
- Knowledge of organizational dynamics, change management, and process improvement
- Excel and PowerPoint skills
- BA/BS in an analytical field or related field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business or related field)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
- International experience
- Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
- MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field
- Experience with consumer retail, telcos, and/or DTC
