A Day in the Life

• Develop, run, and maintain suite(s) of automation tests• Conduct Test protocols and code review
• Support in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
• Guide the team in resolving bottlenecks in testing and deployment processes and design automation solutions
• Maintain and grow knowledge of platform configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Work under general direction and collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Continuously keep updated with latest technology trends and channel that learning to Medtronic Product development.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Own subsystem/module testing strategy, developing frameworks.
• Guide the the squad to ensure implementing test protocols, automating the test cases to best practices
• Create engineering practices.
• Experience with configuration management tools.
• Proficiency working in a team environment.
• Demonstrated skills in writing engineering documents (specifications, project plans, etc.).

Required knowledge and experience: ​

• B.E/BTech.in CS, IT, EC Engineering
• 8-10 years of SDET experience (or ME/MTech), including 3+ years of experience in (high/low-level) customer-facing products test automation
• Experience in Web application testing including Cloud native applications
• Experience Test Automation frameworks – Cypress & Playwright.
• Developing framework and tools to identify functional and non-functional (latency, performance) regressions
• Performance testing, load testing,
• Design/development of automated test cases
• Analyze results of automated regression suites and distill those results into bug tickets as needed
• Experience with API testing using Postman or Soap UI
• Strong demonstrated ability to work directly with technical leads and other engineers
• Demonstrate a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering quality paradigms and patterns
• Aware of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Automation
• Experience with GIT and other version control tools.
• Ability to manage own learning and contribute to functional knowledge building
• Ability to work both independently and help other team members.Nice to Haves
• Experience in mobile testing
• Background in healthcare preferred
• Mobile Apps Testing Experience
• Extensive JavaScript & SQL scripting background
• Ability to advocate and implement best practices and standard solutions
• Previous Medical Device domain experience
• Experience in Digital Health application development
• Experience in best practices for security and compliance (HIPAA, SOC II, etc.).
• Familiarity with healthcare specific technologies and data formats such as HL7 & FHIR.
