Manager, Software Engineer

Overview:

The Master Card Commercial and New Payment Flows application development team is at the forefront of working with new and innovative technologies to create business solutions that keep Master Card positioned as a leader in delivering value-added business analytics and reporting solutions to our diverse customer base. We work in harmony with our product partners and other technical teams to continuously improve and enhance our existing products and drive new products to the global marketplace. We are currently seeking candidates who will be responsible for:

• Supporting overall architecture and design on development projects, production issues, and maintenance, ensuring quality across staff, contractors, and vendors.
• Creating detailed cost and time estimates for implementing business solutions, defining the technical scope and requirements of projects, and assisting the project manager with managing scope throughout the project's life cycle.

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Java Spring Boot, Redis, MongoDB, ORM, Angular, Rest APIs, and a solid understanding of AWS. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure software applications. The candidate should have a robust background in software engineering principles and methodologies and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java Spring Boot, Redis, MongoDB, and ORM frameworks.
• Implement Rest APIs.
• Utilize AWS services to enhance the scalability and reliability of applications Good to have.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software development processes.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Java Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Experience with Redis and MongoDB for data storage and caching.
• Strong understanding of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Knowledge of Rest API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud computing concepts.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other programming languages and frameworks like .NET/C#.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular.
