Senior Managing Consultant, Services Business Development

Mastercard Services is the professional services arm of Mastercard, helping clients unlock value and drive growth through consulting, data-driven insights, loyalty and marketing, experimentation, and risk management. The Services Business Development team is a key differentiator, providing end-to-end solutions across industries. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping new business opportunities, and ensuring successful delivery of engagements for leading Retail & Commerce (R&C) clients in Korea. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will combine consulting expertise with Mastercard’s unique data assets and platforms to help clients transform their businesses.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Client Growth and Impact:

· Lead Services business development for R&C clients in Korea
· Develop and deliver compelling value propositions by leveraging Mastercard’s capabilities and solutions that span diverse areas such as consulting, data, analytics, loyalty, and marketing.
· Build and maintain senior client relationships, acting as the face of Mastercard Services to c-suite and executive stakeholders
· Identify, structure, and close new opportunities aligned with Mastercard’s strategic priorities and client agendas

Solution Leadership and Delivery:

· Address client challenges with integrated end-to-end solutions built on Mastercard’s broad suite of products and services
· Partner with account teams and Mastercard product leaders to design relevant solutions and ensure best-in-class delivery
· Own revenue accountability, track performance against goals, and drive measurable client impact

Strategic Partnerships and Market Development:

· Forge and expand partnerships across the R&C sector to accelerate Mastercard’s market presence
· Collaborate with external stakeholders (industry associations, technology partners, innovation hubs) to co-create scalable solutions
· Drive thought leadership in the R&C sector through whitepapers, client events, and participation in industry forums
· Continuously scan the market for emerging trends, competitive moves, and regulatory developments to inform client strategies and Mastercard’s positioning

All About You:

· Strong consulting and/or solution-selling background with experience in R&C sectors in Korea
· Proven track record in managing complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals
· Distinctive ability to build and monetize senior client relationships based on trust, empathy, and subject-matter expertise
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both Korean and English; comfortable influencing senior client audiences
· Commercial drive with ability to identify new business opportunities and deliver against aggressive growth targets
· Experience in payments, digital platforms, or commerce-focused consulting preferred
· Undergraduate degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus but not mandatory
