Open Finance Product Leader:
We are looking for a Director, Open Finance Data Lead. The candidate should have experience developing strategies, designs, and delivering consumer-facing applications. The role involves contributing to Mastercard’s Open Finance solutions across Europe by setting direction, coordinating teams, and overseeing feature development, analytics, design, and market positioning to meet customer needs and business objectives. This position is part of the Europe Product & Engineering leadership team, which combines elements of fintech agility with the capabilities of a global technology company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to Open Finance Data product and engineering teams
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end build, delivery, and enhancements of our Open Finance Data products and solutions, owning the product lifecycle, from initial concept and design through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Ensure alignment and shared understanding of products, features, markets, and timelines across Product, Engineering, and Analytic teams
- Collaborate with product teams across Mastercard to deliver value-added services, enriching Open Finance with broader Mastercard Capabilities (and vice versa)
- Develop, document, and implement strategic plans, product positioning, and messaging for Mastercard Open Finance products and solutions.
- All About You
- Bachelor’s degree required, analytical / technical degree from a top-tier program preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and launching innovative data-driven products, particularly within financial and/or technology sectors
- Deep understanding of data ecosystems, advanced analytics, and emerging trends in data utilisation, including Open Banking, Open Finance, and data monetisation strategies
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated business acumen; adept at identifying key data opportunities
- Experience in leading organisation-wide, complex data and innovation projects from conception to delivery, effectively driving project plans and leveraging stakeholder management and influencing capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments to achieve strategic data objectives
- Skilled at structuring ambiguous challenges, breaking down complex data problems into actionable initiatives, and fostering a culture of innovation
- Experience working cross-functionally to develop and implement data solutions that maximise business value
- Excellent collaborator, listener, and influencer, adept at navigating matrixed organisations and reporting structures.
- Extensive experience in Product Management disciplines focused on data products or platforms for business or consumer-facing applications or technology services.
