Title and Summary
Vice President, Core Payments – Product Economics, Commercialization and Business Operations
Overview:
The Vice President, Core Payments -Product Economics, Commercialization and Biz Ops will serve as the product pricing and business operations lead for the North America Core payments team. This role is part of the NAM Digital Transformation, Optimization, Strategy & Operations group within Core Payments. The key responsibilities of the broader team are to lead, develop & manage strategic go-to-market plans across core products, digital products & capabilities , network solutions, and core payment services.
This role will drive three key strategic areas of core payments within North America. 1. Product and Services Pricing &Economics - develop, track and execute on the regional core product and value added services pricing strategy in close partnership with global product, global and regional pricing teams, legal, finance and regional leadership—while ensuring disciplined operating cadence and oversight. 2. Commercialization - work across product leads within core payments and the sales organization to develop , track and drive go to market pipelines synergies across core products and services in order to deliver on financial and strategic goals for core payments and the region 3. Business Operations -that include efforts like assessments before earnings, business reviews, QBRs and other strategic workstreams .
This is a highly cross‑functional role requiring strong business acumen, operational rigor, and an ability to influence senior stakeholders across a matrixed environment. The role also requires proficiency with data, familiarity with financial models and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
NAM Core Product and Services Pricing and Economics:
Lead development and execution of the core payments product and services pricing strategy for NAM
Partner with Product, Legal, Finance, Billing, and P&IC to design, evaluate, and approve pricing constructs and operational execution .
Provide pricing thought leadership for new products, enhancements, and market tests.
Ensure regional alignment to global pricing policies, governance frameworks, and processes.
Track and develop dashboard on performance and gaps
Business Administration of the NAM Core Organization:
Drive operational rhythm including:
Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Quarterly Operating Reviews (QORs)
Executive updates, narratives, and decision-ready materials
Oversee management of the region’s operating budgets, spend forecasts,

Commercialization Alignment and Synergies:
Drive and help build the end-to-end GTM pipeline across core products and services in the region and drive synergies
Maintain clear visibility into pipeline health, customer engagements, value propositions, commercialization readiness, and blockers.
Partner with Sales, Product, and Regional Account Teams to ensure consistent GTM execution and timely escalations.
All About You:
Years in Product, Pricing, Strategy, Biz Ops, Finance, or a related field.
Deep understanding of core economics and financial models across product and services. Added advantage of familiarity with sales cycles, deal models and overall pricing and economics frameworks.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills in a matrixed environment.
Proficiency in financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
Proven experience owning business rhythms (QBRs/QORs), budgets, and GTM pipelines.
Effective communication and narrative skills.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
