Lead Finance Through a Defining Moment of Growth and Transformation
Maersk Air Cargo (MAC) plays a key role in strengthening Maersk’s global endtoend logistics offering. As MAC continues to mature its operating model and align with Maersk’s 2026 priorities, we’re looking for an experienced finance leader who wants to help shape a growing airline platform and influence decisions that matter.
This is a highly visible role at the heart of MAC’s transformation. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across Air, Forwarding, Operations and Group Finance—bringing clarity between Finance and the business, strengthening performance management, and building the financial foundations that will support MAC’s longterm growth.

You’ll influence how a young airline integrates into a global logistics leader — helping define its financial discipline, performance culture, and longterm strategy.
High Visibility & Senior Exposure
You’ll work directly with Air leadership, Forwarding, Operations, Procurement and Group Finance — with a seat at tables where decisions genuinely shape the business.
Lead Leaders, Build Capability
You will inherit 3 strong direct reports (some leading their own teams) and have the mandate to uplift the broader finance capability across MAC and Air Freight.

What You’ll Bring:

Senior finance leadership in complex, global matrixed environments

Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills

Direct or indirect experience in aviation, air cargo or forwarding domains.

Depth in asset lifecycle economics and procurement collaboration

Strength in transformation, performance management, governance and compliance

Inclusive, engaging leadership across cultures and disciplines
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
-
Shape and deliver MAC’s financial strategy, longrange plans, and key performance outcomes
-
Provide timely, highquality reporting and insight to Air leadership, Group Finance and regulators
-
Drive performance across EBIT, asset utilisation and working capital
Operational Finance & Asset Management
-
Strengthen revenue integrity and prevent leakage
-
Lead models for ACMI and adhoc charter decisions
-
Oversee fleet and engine lifecycle economics, leases, maintenance outlooks, warranty and claims
Compliance, Risk & Governance
-
Ensure strong governance across tax, funding, insurance and investment processes
-
Maintain oversight of key regulatory obligations: ETS, CORSIA, SAF, Re FuelEU
-
Lead global banking arrangements and cash management
Transformation & Performance
-
Align MAC’s finance processes and systems with Maersk’s operating model
-
Enhance forecasting, cost transparency, margin optimisation and ROI
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
-
Act as a senior business partner to MAC leadership and Global Air
-
Manage relationships with lessors, MROs, engine suppliers and charter partners
People Leadership
-
Lead three direct reports (some leading their own teams)

Embed a culture of trust, inclusion, collaboration and high performance
