Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies local market opportunities in order to growth up the inland product.
  • Participates in evaluating and developing projects.
  • Compiles first level business case for Business Development function prior to further project progression.
  • Coordinates project planning in cooperation with requisite responsible
    functions.
  • Provides local industry information and analysis to senior management.
  • Maintains market awareness regarding market developments, supply/demand, pricing, competition etc.
  • Contributes to, and where appropriate, drives the development of solutions to customer project / tender requirements.
  • Develops recommendations for attractiveness of investments, proposals for negotiation processes and recommendations on business plan and budget.
  • Develops short-, medium- and long-term product strategies by linking the market and the business plan.
  • Builds strong solutions to meet the customer needs by introducing new services, understanding current market gaps and needs.
  • Extends and ensures capacity availability linked with strategic growth plans.
  • Uses scale economic tools and data to decrease cost basis with the procurement team.
  • Searches for alternative routes and transportation modes to extend the capacity and decrease cost basis.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in the organization to deliver the product P&L performance.
  • Takes ownership of the requirements of solutions, from basic to complex, to support customers and in return deliver the business growth of landside transportation.
  • Builds strong solutions to meet the customer needs per vertical/ sub vertical and takes the necessary ownership to make the solution successful, including but not limited to collaboration with other products/sub products in Maersk.
  • Drives key initiatives in the product development.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in the organization to deliver the product P&L performance.
  • Be the inland transportation solutions subject matter expert to support the business where needed with best practices on operational setup and capabilities including interaction and onsite visits with customers.
  • Explores ideas and avenues for growing landside transportation solutions revenue by introducing new services, understanding current market gaps and needs or supporting global efforts to land new business.

We’re Looking For:

  • Around 10 years of experience in logistics industry preferably in tender management
  • Strong know how of domestic land transportation
  • Proven experience in development and execution of function strategy / business plan
  • Exposure to sales and procurement, track record in project management
  • Strong analytical mindset accompanying with commercial perspective
  • Agile approach to utilize market insight and renew existing plans accordingly when needed
  • Relationship management skills with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced level of English and MS Office Programs
