At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
Lyft Ads is building the world's largest mobility advertising network, connecting brands with millions of consumers throughout their transportation journeys. Our mission is to help brands reach riders during key moments of their journey — before, during, and after a ride — by delivering meaningful, contextually relevant ad experiences. This role focuses on the “before” and “after” of that ride journey.
Lyft is embarking on a new growth phase: using our rich first-party data to expand advertising reach beyond our own inventory. As Senior Product Manager for Offsite Ads, you will lead the 0-to-1 development of integrations and platform capabilities that enable advertisers to reach Lyft riders on third-party channels (websites, apps, connected TV, social platforms). This role offers a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of net-new programmatic advertising business, validate a new monetization model, and accelerate growth for our already rapidly growing Ads business.
Responsibilities:
-
Understand Lyft's strategic and competitive position in ads, and use it to develop a compelling vision and roadmap for off-platform advertising.
-
Drive development of new partnerships, including integrations with demand-side platform(s), supply-side platforms, social platforms, and other technologies to enable Lyft audiences to be seamlessly reached across other sites and channels.
-
Lead and align cross-functional partners and teams: engineers, data scientists, marketers, sellers, legal counsel, and operations partners to drive a shared vision.
-
Communicate clear roadmaps, priorities, experiments and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences, from partner teams to the executive level.
Experience:
-
5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
-
Ad tech and programmatic ads expertise, including hands-on experience with demand-side platforms, ad exchanges, audience extension, and clean rooms.
-
Strong technical acumen. You’re comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and identity models with engineering, data scientists, and partners.
-
Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of the digital ad ecosystem and Lyft’s position within it.
-
Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way. Be able to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.
-
Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level — within teams, within the org, to customers, and to other audiences.
-
Detail oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you.
Benefits:
-
Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
-
Mental health benefits
-
Family building benefits
-
Child care and pet benefits
-
401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
-
In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
-
18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
-
Subsidized commuter benefits
-
Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership
