An exciting opportunity has arisen with an upcoming role for a Senior Manager overseeing our Legal and Technical functions, with a strong and deliberate focus on APA performance across our business. This role will be reporting directly myself as the Claims Operations Manager.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly capable leader to guide our Legal and Technical space while driving excellence in APA performance. This role will play a pivotal part in strengthening scheme integrity, ensuring high‑quality decision‑making, and supporting consistent, fair, and compliant outcomes for injured workers and employers. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading technical governance, supporting complex decision pathways, uplifting capability across teams, and partnering closely with Work Safe Victoria to maintain strong alignment and transparent communication.
To be successful in this role you will need to:

Demonstrate strong leadership capability with a strategic mindset

Bring deep technical expertise across Work Cover legislation, policy, and entitlement frameworks
-
Provide confident oversight of legal and technical matters, ensuring accuracy and consistency
-
Drive APA performance outcomes through coaching, quality uplift, and targeted interventions
-
Build strong relationships with Work Safe Victoria and act as DXC’s key point of escalation
-
Support teams in complex decision‑making, notice writing, and QDM expectations
-
Apply sound judgement and analytical capability when assessing risk, trends, and emerging issues
Experienced Required:

Demonstrated senior leadership capability, with a proven ability to influence direction and drive performance outcomes

High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement

Proven experience managing sensitive information with discretion and integrity

Strong organisational capability and ability to balance competing priorities
