Job Description:
The Mainframe Engineering team provides the end-to-end support, as well as system administration, database administration and ensuring Mainframe security.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Z/OS support including problem analysis and resolution
- Provide technical support of the mainframe infrastructure to provide high quality customer service and meet SLA expectations.
Respect of ITIL processes:
- Security compliancy project implementation (RACF and major subsystems)
- Collaborate and liaise with other teams and serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert.
- Open cases with HW & SW suppliers, follow-up of cases.
- Significant involvement in upgrade of operating systems to new release and maintenance
- Significant involvement in upgrade of third-party software products to new releases (DB/2, Datacom, CICS, Cobol, IBM MQ, IWS, …)
Required Skills:
- Daily maintenance & health checks of our z/OS running on 13 LPARs (including 5 Productions)
- Analyse and troubleshoot incidents occuring in these LPARs into the agreed SLA
- Respect of ITIL process
- Implement and maintain IMS and CICS transactions
- Installation, configuration and upgrading operating system and related products
- Installation, configuration and upgrading Mainframe, Storage, Backup and SAN solutions
- Open cases with HW & SW suppliers when required and follow-up of cases
- Participate on “On call duty” 24/24, 7/7
- Self-motivated, dynamic, proactive & customer-oriented attitude to be able to work on tight schedule
- Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
