Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Service Now Developer to join our team. The Service Now Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Service Now applications and workflows to streamline and automate business processes within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, develop, and implement custom Service Now applications and solutions to meet business requirements, including creating workflows, forms, scripts, and integrations.
- Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure Service Now instances, including setting up roles, access controls, data sources, and system properties to align with organizational needs.
- Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now and other systems, such as databases, web services, and third-party applications, to enable data exchange and process automation.
- Scripting and Automation: Write and maintain scripts using Service Now's scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Glide Record, and ACLs) to automate processes, enhance functionality, and improve system performance.
- Testing and Deployment: Perform thorough testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions. Coordinate and execute deployment activities.
- Documentation: Document Service Now applications, configurations, and processes to ensure proper knowledge transfer and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in Service Now applications and instances, providing timely support to end-users.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with Service Now best practices, new features, and industry trends, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Service Now implementations and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 1 year of hands-on experience in Service Now development and administration.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Service Now development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide Record, ACLs), workflow design, and application development.
- Experience with Service Now integrations, web services, and data sources.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
- Service Now certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer) are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
