Your Impact

The Lowe’s Foundation analyst supports the execution of the Foundation’s national grants program by managing key steps of the grantmaking lifecycle across all portfolios, including application reviews, board and subcommittee support, grant processing, and recipient onboarding. The analyst maintains portfolio dashboards to strengthen measurement and reporting efforts and builds strong stakeholder relationships to advance Foundation initiatives and programs.

The Lowe's Foundation is a separate 501c (3) organization run by an independent Board of Directors and governed by bylaws.

What you will do

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Lowe’s Foundation grants program, its strategies, and goals
  • Support the grant review process for the assigned portfolio, which includes, but is not limited to, providing Board member and subcommittee support, coordinating subcommittee meetings and applicant sessions, assisting with notifications, preparing subcommittee materials, onboarding grant recipients, board meeting preparation and other related duties
  • Assists in tracking the portfolio budget
  • Supports the grants management system to help: Process and track submission of grant requests. Prepare grant requests for the Foundation Board. Filter, review and analyze grant requests. Process approved grants and make notifications
  • In collaboration with the measurement vendor and grants teammates, assists with grant recipient measurement process, communications and review
  • Maintains grants dashboard and databases which includes but not limited to impact model, outcomes, trends, and grants and sponsorship investments, etc.
  • Supports and facilitates grant recipient engagement and grant recipient events over the grant lifecycle
  • Responsible for ordering materials and resources to support Lowe’s Foundation events and activations
  • Responsible for responding to internal and external inquiries through the Lowe’s Foundation mailbox and website
  • Supports Foundation board and pre-board meetings which includes but not limited to coordination of meetings, preparation of materials (agenda, pre-reads, presentations, minutes, etc)
  • Supports Foundation board member onboarding and Share Point site
  • Assists with Lowe’s Foundation grant agreements and payments processing; understands and upholds compliance with grantmaking guidelines and regulations associated with the foundation’s 501(c)3 status
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with Lowe’s Foundation team, grant recipients, Lowe’s Foundation Board members and other key stakeholders
  • Supports Lowe’s Foundation fundraisers and Lowe’s Foundation grantee events, as needed
  • Supports integration and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Builds and maintains an active understanding of the skilled trades pathways, challenges, trends, and opportunities as it relates to the assigned portfolio
  • Provides support across other Foundation programs, as needed
  • Other Foundation-related duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 2+ years of philanthropic and/or nonprofit operations experience, corporate community relations, philanthropic/non-profit sector, community engagement, project management, higher education or workforce development
  • Open to 5-10% Travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Business, communications, journalism or public relations or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 2+ years of experience with grantmaking best practices
  • 2+ years of experience with grantmaking best practices
  • 2+ years of experience building community relationships and networks along with working with multicultural teams and environments
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate retail and/or skilled trades sector
