About the Role:
As a Software Engineering Lead, you will be leading and liaising with dynamic, passionate cross functional teams, where collaboration as a team is key.
You will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of Software Engineers who deliver value through web applications serving our customers various risk assessment needs. In this role, success means enabling your team to deliver high‑quality software while creating an environment where engineers can grow and do their best work..
About the team:
You'll join a team developing API and Frontend solutions serving customers needs in Identity and Fraud assessment. In this well established customer centric team, you'll work closely with Product Managers and Delivery Managers in helping to grow a high performing team and regularly deliver new value to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery & Collaboration Leading a development team as they efficiently deliver features and capabilities.
- Working closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
- Promoting collaboration between teams, sharing best practice and helping clear potential blockers.
- Working closely with the Product Manager to ensure the team have the right direction and is well aligned with other teams.
- Raise security maturity across applications and delivery processes, ensuring security and privacy are built into day-to-day engineering practice.
- People Leadership Coach and develop your team members, through aligned objectives and goals.
- Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance and support, drawing on your experience to help teams make good decisions.
- Act as a first point of support for resolving development issues, involving others where appropriate.
- Champion responsible AI adoption within the team, helping engineers effectively use approved AI tools.
Requirements:
- Experience building production software in at least one modern programming language, for example, PHP, Java, Python, .NET, JavaScript.
- Be able to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
- Be able to collaborate, support and drive team members to deliver on results, providing technical and professional guidance.
- Be able to design and work with complex data models.
