As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Technical and strategic interface between IT and regional operations and clients, as it relates to the client deployment, user training, system configuration, process improvement, and service and support of WMS and related applications.

How you create impact

  • Implementation support / coordination of WMS setup to include:

  • Workorder / ticket management for new client requests/functionality

  • Initial depot/warehouse and client setup and configuration

  • Testing for both unit (development) and user (UAT)  scenarios

  • Training of LSU and Key operational users to support subsequent training

  • Identify / recommend / deploy process change to drive operational process improvements

  • Post implementation (hypercare) support (2nd level) for local/regional site operational

  • Incident Management and support issues via incident management system

  • Training & Documentation

  • local super user development and training

  • administer and maintain process documentation for operational usage

  • Application Testing

  • Support regression testing of new releases against current requirements

  • Support new development/functionality testing as released/required

What we would like you to bring

  • Technical and business knowledge of SwiftLOG / Manhattan WMOS / CIEL environments.
  • functional understanding of WMS data model, data elements and tables, and flow through the system
  • knowledge of local customer requirements as it relates to system configuration options and usage
  • ability to mesh customer requirements and system capabilities to drive improvements into local operational processes (order management, inventory, receiving, and shipping)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (communication, presentation, issue management)
  • Will spend significant time on shop floor, with frequent communication between local site super users/mgmt and corporate deployment/support teams.
  • Potential for significant travel (at times) to support deployments, training, and ongoing support.
