When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. The purpose of this role is to assist clients in all phases of consignment preparation as well as handle and monitor client activities ensuring compliance with all agreed company policies.
How you create impact
- Processing of consignment orders from clients via email, telephone and via Quick’s online booking portal Quickonline, (which includes routing, classifying of service type, establishing a deadline and printing the job order.)
- Managing the green light approval process for consignments destined to non-EU destinations.
- To assist in providing clients with continuous status notifications and performing the necessary follow-up’s (which includes relaying details pertaining to flight and customs delays, proof of deliveries, additional charges, resolutions, etc).
- Monitoring and actioning of client emails via the shared mailboxes.
- Calculating and arranging the positioning of suitable temperature-controlled packaging & logger supplies.
- Tracking and tracing consignments and providing the client with status updates throughout transit as well as process client’s daily reports and manifests.
- Monitoring and actioning of special alarms (SPA’s) via Quick Track.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients.
- Working in conjunction with the pricing team to provide clients with requested quotations in a timely manner.
- Providing assistance to & working alongside Customer Relationship & Key Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction and prompt actioning of client bookings & enquiries.
What we would like you to bring
- Experience in Customer Service
- Knowledge of freight forwarding is a plus
- Knowledge of country specific rules and regulations relating to the Importation and Exportation of pharmaceutical products.
- Awareness of time zones for different regions.
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
- Good computer skills
