Group/Division
The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
This role will initially focus on delivering technical training using existing SPTS courses, with a strong emphasis on wafer handling platforms (EFEMs and automation). The instructor may also need to cover other SPTS tools such as Etch, PVD, and CVD. Over time, the role may require designing new courses to meet evolving training needs. The position involves working with SPTS tools that utilize Brooks Automation technology for handlers, so knowledge of Brooks systems is highly beneficial. Strong electro-mechanical skills are essential, and some formal experience in training delivery or presenting is required. An industry-related degree in engineering or a similar technical field is preferred; however, candidates with relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructor-led training on SPTS systems, primarily focusing on wafer handling platforms (EFEMs and automation).
- Use existing training materials and adapt them as needed for different audiences.
- Conduct hands-on sessions using live equipment and simulators.
- Assess trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure training content remains current.
- Support certification programs and on-the-job training (OJT) requirements.
- Develop new training courses and materials as required for future needs.
- Maintain accurate training records and reports.
- Travel internationally as needed to deliver training at other global locations.
Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Strong electro-mechanical skills for troubleshooting and maintenance.

Familiarity with wafer handling systems and automation platforms.

Knowledge of Brooks Automation technology is highly desirable.

Education & Experience:

Industry-related degree in engineering or a similar technical field preferred.

Relevant hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Training & Communication:

Formal experience in delivering technical training or presenting to groups.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt training methods for different learning styles.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel internationally for short-term assignments.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
