Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The new 237,000-square-foot Newport facility provides additional production and customer collaboration spaces, including 25,000 square feet of R&D clean rooms, 35,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing space and tool demo areas, all designed to support development of semiconductor process technologies across advanced packaging, power devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), radio frequency (RF) and photonics sector technology.

Purpose of the role

Working closely with the Manufacturing Management Team, the Assembly Support Technician will keep material flowing to the shop floor i.e shortages, consumables, new builds. To be the interface between stores and manufacturing, clearing any day to day issues that arise between these departments and to keep materials and processes flowing with a lean operating system.

This position is key to the performance and drive in a modern production environment. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to establish a career in a fast-growing, award-winning company with a clearly defined career development path.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm (week 1) and 2pm-10pm (week 2). There may also be the requirement to work on a night shift basis.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Shortage clearance

• Replenishment of consumables

• Completion of jobs from work centers

• Pulling of material on to the shop floor

• Delivering complete assemblies back to stores
