Step into the role of Tech Risk Engagement Lead and lead the forefront of technological innovation and security. As a Tech Risk Engagement Manager in Cybersecurity & Tech Controls, you will expertly navigate the dynamic landscape of cyber threats, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements. Leading proactive identification and evaluation of technology risks, you'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to help develop and implement robust risk management strategies. Your role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices, leveraging your subject matter expertise to provide leaders with insights and recommendations for digital transformation within the firm's risk appetite. You will manage a diverse team, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and influence decision-making, ensuring top-quality service delivery. Your expertise shapes the firm's approach to technology risk and services, fostering a secure and compliant environment.
Job responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the information security strategy for technology risk management, aligned with the firm's objectives and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks, steering digital transformation initiatives
- Own and maintain risk management policies, standards, and control frameworks, ensuring consistent implementation and compliance firm-wide
- Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments, providing strategic guidance and recommendations to leadership and region/country/line of business
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and management of technology risks, collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement robust risk management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, providing expert insights and recommendations for digital transformation within the firm's risk appetite.
- Manage and coordinate diverse, cross-functional teams, influencing decision-making and delivering top-quality service in a secure and compliant environment.
- Demonstrate strong presentation, interpersonal, and execution skills, with a results-oriented, detail-focused approach and enthusiasm for career development in Compliance, IT audit, or Cybersecurity.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, cybersecurity, or a related field, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
- Demonstrated proficiency in data security, risk management and controls, and security governance
- Proficient knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices, such as NIST, ISO, COBIT, CRI Profile, and regional or jurisdictional regulatory frameworks like FFIEC and GDPR
- Knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity planning, and managing risks associated with third-party suppliers
- Build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels through strong relationship management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Communicate complex information clearly and concisely, adapting messages for diverse audiences, including senior management and regulators.
- Demonstrate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams across various business lines, countries, and regions, leveraging experience in technology, risk management, or audit within financial services.
- Analyze and interpret regulatory changes, provide strategic risk management guidance, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support and coordinate risk management projects, drive continuous improvement, mitigate risks, and synthesize complex information for regulatory exams, meetings, and ad-hoc requests.
