As an Executive Credit Officer in Asset Based Lending Credit Risk, you will be part of the firm’s risk governance framework and a critical member of the risk management team. The Asset Based Lending team primarily provides working capital revolving lines of credit and fixed asset loans to corporate clients. Executive Credit Officers on the Commercial Bank Asset Based Lending team drives the strategy and culture for a team of credit officers that manage a portfolio of accounts and analyze new business transactions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop team of credit officers that manage portfolio with varying complexity of ABL clients, monitor financial performance trends and borrowing base trends

  • Utilize data to drive strategy and portfolio risk management and leverage technology to enhance efficiency of risk management process

  • Develop strategic initiatives that drives performance and aligns with firm values

  • Ensure financial analysis, collateral analysis, risk grading and related risk management functions are completed to the highest quality standards and timely manner

  • Monitor portfolio for early warning signs and emerging risks and implement appropriate strategies to mitigate

  • Demonstrate ability to present and support risk and strategic recommendations to senior management

  • Collaborate with business partners to enhance risk management process and seek ways to enhance operational efficiency and client administration

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in commercial banking, credit risk, portfolio management and underwriting with Asset Based Lending financing knowledge

  • Track record of success managing and motivating geographically dispersed teams and leading large groups to execute with excellence

  • Experience maintaining and coaching high performing teams; proven ability to attract, retain, motivate, and develop employees

  • Strong understanding of capital markets, financing structures, derivatives and cash management products as well as related documentation

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal

  • Executive presence and ability to think critically and multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor's degree
