Our Project & Development Services team delivers comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for occupiers and investors across the Asia Pacific region. In Hong Kong, our Design & Build department is known for its integrated delivery model, combining strategic design thinking with rigorous project execution to create high-performing, sustainable, and human-centric workplaces.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Interior Designer to join our Design & Build team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will support the Design Manager/Associate Director in delivering exceptional interior design solutions across a diverse portfolio of corporate office projects—from small fit-outs to large-scale headquarters. This role requires strong technical design capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to translate client vision into functional, inspiring spaces within a fast-paced design-and-build environment.

This role requires strong knowledge in standard design practices, and familiarity with the design-and-build project delivery model. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative design professional who can work independently as well as within a team, deliver compelling design solutions, and handle projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute interior design concepts aligned with client brand, functional needs, sustainability goals, and budget.

  • Produce high-quality design visuals and documentation including space planning, material selections, FF&E specifications, and construction drawings.

  • Collaborate closely with JLL’s project management, cost consultancy, sustainability consultancy and construction teams to deliver fully integrated design-and-build solutions.

  • Support site supervision activities, including attending site meetings, reviewing shop drawings, and resolving design-related issues during construction.

  • Ensure all designs comply with Hong Kong building regulations, fire safety codes, accessibility standards, and support sustainability certifications when required (e.g., BEAM Plus, WELL, LEED).

  • Contribute to client presentations, design proposals, and pitch materials with compelling visuals and clear storytelling.

  • Mentor junior designers and coordinate with external consultants to maintain design quality and project timelines.

  • Drive creativity and storytelling to create compelling proposals and projects

  • Oversee documentation, contractor communication and site works together with our internal and external consultants.

  • Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and authorities, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Contribute to business development efforts, including client presentations, and design workshops.

  • Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on corporate office projects in Hong Kong being preferred.

  • Proven experience working within the design consultancy and design-and-build delivery model, including coordination with construction and value engineering.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Enscape, and/or similar visualization tools). Revit knowledge will be a plus.

  • Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin—essential for client communication, team collaboration, and liaison with local authorities and contractors.

  • Solid understanding of local statutory requirements, construction methods, and finish specifications in Hong Kong.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and client-focused approach.

  • Experience in a multidisciplinary consultancy or integrated project delivery environment is preferred.

  • What We Offer

  • A collaborative and inclusive workplace that values innovation, integrity, and impact.

  • Opportunities to work on high-profile, complex projects across Hong Kong’s dynamic commercial real estate market.

  • Professional development and global exposure within JLL’s international network.
