Position Overview
- The Director, Specialist Advisory
- Retail will lead JLL's retail advisory services across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, providing strategic counsel to clients on retail real estate matters including leasing, investment, development, and market strategy. This senior leadership role requires deep expertise in the KSA retail market and the ability to drive business growth while managing complex client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the retail advisory practice in KSA, developing and executing strategic business plans
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities across various retail segments
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, developers, investors, and retail brands
- Provide thought leadership and market intelligence to clients and internal teams
Client Advisory Services
- Advise clients on retail real estate strategy, market entry, expansion, and optimization
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and feasibility studies
- Lead tenant representation and landlord representation mandates
- Provide investment advisory services for retail assets
- Support retail development projects from conception to completion
Business Development
- Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and existing client expansion
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and pitches
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to leverage JLL's platform
Team Management
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing retail advisory team
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Oversee team performance, development, and career progression
- Ensure quality delivery of all client engagements
Required Qualifications
Experience & Background
- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in retail real estate, with at least 5 years in KSA market
- Proven track record in senior advisory roles within retail real estate
- Experience across multiple retail formats (shopping centers, high street, mixed-use, outlet centers)
- Strong understanding of retail operations, consumer behavior, and market dynamics
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Master's degree or professional certifications (RICS, CCIM) preferred
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)

- Deep knowledge of KSA retail market, regulations, and cultural nuances
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

Location
Based in Riyadh, KSA with regular travel across the Kingdom
This role offers the opportunity to shape JLL's retail advisory practice in one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving retail markets in the region, supporting Vision 2030 initiatives and the Kingdom's economic transformation.
