What this job involves:

The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Partners with Team Members and Mobile Engineers in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including HVAC units, Boilers, Cooling Towers, walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Frame and construct partition walls, closets, and office spaces using metal studs and wood framing

  • Install and repair drywall, including taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing

  • Install various types of flooring including vinyl tile, carpet tile, laminate, and hardwood

  • Install door frames, doors, windows, and associated hardware and trim work

  • Repair and replace baseboards, crown molding, and other architectural millwork

  • Build temporary structures, platforms, and specialized fixtures as needed

  • Perform concrete forming and basic concrete finishing for small repairs and installations

  • Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

  • General maintenance and repair duties for interior spaces.

  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed

  • Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested

  • Replace lighting and ballasts

  • Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.

  • Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

  • Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed and update work orders in real time.

  • All other duties and tasks assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.

  • Carpentry and construction experience preferred

  • Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction

  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders.

  • Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.

  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns

  • Knowledge of building codes and construction standards

  • Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings

  • Ability to measure accurately and work with precision
