Role Overview:
To ensure the highly successful operation of the avionics, battery and electromechanical workshops by performing bench repairs down to component level of electronic and / or electromechanical equipment to industries’ highest quality standards. Ensure that all work is efficiently and economically completed.
Assist and collaborate with the other technicians, Operations Manager, stores, customer service and all other GE Aviation personnel to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and efficient conduct of the GE Aviation business.
Required Qualifications:
-
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through the application of excellent repair and test services, open communication, continuous improvement, and effective completion of required administration tasks.
-
Ensure high levels of product safety for customers with a strong focus on quality and adherence to regulatory compliance in all activities.
-
Ensure profitable operations in both contract and non - contract servicing.
-
At all times comply with all GE Aviation guidelines and policies.
-
Ensure effective operation of equipment, tooling and physical resources to meet company and customers’ needs.
-
Maintain a sound knowledge of company procedures, Quality Manual and specific workshop guidelines.
-
Develop and maintain knowledge of, and adhere to, the Site Quality, Safety Management and EH&S policies and other compliance requirements. Bring forward for resolution any identified risks utilising provided systems.

Other duties as and when required.
CERTIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:
-
Possession of a Certificate IV Aeroskills (Avionics) or equivalent.
-
Experience in component level repairs on electronic and electro-mechanical aeronautical product including soldering, testing, replacing and fault-finding.
-
Effective verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to complete technical service reports and communicate effectively with peers and management.
-
Competency in electronic and / or electromechanical maintenance and aircraft equipment technical aspects.
-
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
-
A track record of compliance adherence, including EHS and regulator requirements
-
An effective communicator with success working in a team environment and communicating with peers and customers.
Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to aeronautical workshop environment.

Demonstrated continuous improvement experience.

Commitment to learning and updating your knowledge.
