Division Description

ITW Deltar Fasteners is a large division within the Automotive Segment and serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners. Locations include Frankfort, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI.

• Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in NA.
• Exchanging product, process, and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide.

The Shipping Technician reports to the Shipping Manager and will be responsible to perform duties to receive purchased and incoming products and/or ship finished products to customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate forklift – load and unload trucks as required
• Receive incoming freight, UPS, Fed-Ex deliveries and distribute appropriately along with intercompany mail
• Operate Order Pickers
• Pull production product & prepare shipments per customer instructions – address labeling, scan & shrink wrap
• Maintain shipping/receiving records
• Prepare Bills of Lading
• Interaction with customers – air shipments and coordinating shipments with freight companies
• Assist with year-end physical inventory
• Process partial container and intercompany shipments
• Understand and follow the ITW Building and Visitor Security Policy
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

• Bending

• Lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to wear fall harness protection and work at heights 16’ or less
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Computer experience in Microsoft (Word and Excel)
• Ability to follow internal and customer instructions
• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment as well as ability to work with little or no supervision
• Ability to operate fork truck, hand, and power lift equipment
• Previous shipping and/or computer experience (preferred)

Compensation Information:

$20-21 per hour
