Introduction

As a Consulting Industry Expert and Deal Leader at IBM Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital and AI transformation within the life sciences industry. There are substantial opportunities to increase productivity within organizations (core functions, R&D, manufacturing and commercial) and accelerate healthcare impact with new digitally supported therapies and diagnostics. Leveraging your in-depth understanding of the life sciences value chain, coupled with your expertise in consulting, program delivery and establishing client relationships, you will be responsible for leading innovative cloud adoption, software development, system integration and artificial intelligence programs that deliver measurable value to our clients.

Your role and responsibilities

• Industry Insight: Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in the life sciences industry, understanding the value chain and identifying opportunities for consulting, AI, digital transformation, cloud adoption and operational efficiencies.
• Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients by building and maintaining strong relationships, acting as an advisor for digital transformation and being accountable for successful execution. Understand client needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored consulting solutions.
• Digital Transformation Leadership: Lead and oversee digital transformation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. This involves collaboration with our ecosystem partners (AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, Celonis, etc.).
• Technology Expertise: Apply your background in technology such as software development, AI, Cloud and system integration to design and implement innovative solutions that address complex business problems within the life sciences domain.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with energetic, fun and cross-functional teams, including technical experts, engineers, data scientists, architects, and business analysts, to ensure excellent project execution and client satisfaction.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth, actively contributing to the expansion of IBM Consulting's footprint in the life sciences industry. Use the ability to leverage your personal network to convert new business opportunities into programs
• Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of thought leadership materials, whitepapers, and case studies to showcase IBM Consulting's capabilities and insights in the life sciences sector.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Extensive experience in the consulting industry (delivery and sales), with a focus on the life sciences sector in Switzerland.
• Proven track record of leading and delivering digital transformation projects.
• Strong background in technology (software development, system integration, AI, Cloud or similar), with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a field of technology (computer science, data science, or similar).
