As a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be part of the Integrated Supply Chain Engineering team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain methods and processes in the manufacture and fabrication of Aerospace Wheel & Braking Systems. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will be the technical team leader for Carbon Processing, W&B (Machining, Post-Processing, and Assy), and Linings Value Streams and be responsible for providing process, project, and product ownership related to manufacturing producibility and capability. Using your technical background, you will develop and execute ISC roadmap plans and lead other disciplines to accomplish program objectives. You will also contribute to ISC related proposal efforts and own project execution to address future business opportunities, value engineering, productivity improvements and program/process changes. You will be recognized by business management and site leadership as a primary focal point for communication status with functional leaders.
You will report directly to our ISC Operations Manager and you’ll work out of our **South Bend, IN **location on an On-site work schedule.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 7 or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing/quality/product design environment

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Six Sigma Black Belt / Lean Expert
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others
- Highly motivated self-starter and effective time management skills to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in machine control or process development and data acquisition, project management, APQP principles, and statistical analysis
- Eagerness to be hands-on with floor support and ability to troubleshoot manufacturing problems.
- Experience with supplier problem resolution
- Experience with RCCA, process maps, FMEAs, and control plans
- Project and Team management skills
- Working knowledge of SAP and Team Center
- Project Budgeting, Monitoring, and Control
- Strong analytical and communications skills
- Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems
- Effectively operate and ability to influence in a matrix organization
- Track record of successful contribution to products & projects
