As an HSE Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with safety and environmental regulations and industry standards, and the implementation of best practices. You will report directly to our Sr. HSE Manager and you'll work out of our Tonawanda, NY location with the Tonawanda site personnel.
Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
- Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies.
- Develop and manage the HSE budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Promote environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organization's operations.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards in HSE engineering, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 2 years or more experience in health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental best practices
- Knowledge of HSE Management Systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities

The annual base salary range for this position is $77,900-$100,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
